Background

GIDZ is an initiative of the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), Lentis, Homecare Groningen, MAD Multimedia (software development), Principal Blue (project management), and the Human Technology Center of the Hanzehogeschool of Groningen. The project started in February 2006 and has been partly facilitated by the Province of Groningen, the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), and EZ/KOMPAS in the context of the Innovative Action Programme of Groningen (IAG).
